Home/Property Damage Claims
Property Damage Claims

California property insurance claims, handled for policyholders only.

Fire, smoke, water, storm, theft, and third-party losses across Southern California. If an insurer is delaying, underpaying, or denying a covered loss, start with a free claim review at (949) 996-7534.

Claim Types

Start with the loss you have.

Every claim type below has its own coverage questions and its own dedicated page. The free review is the same for all of them.

Who We Represent

Policyholders. Never insurers.

Homeowners

Primary residences and second homes, from single losses to total losses, including the living-expense claims that come with displacement.

Landlords & property owners

Rental homes, multi-unit buildings, and investment properties, including loss-of-rents questions when a covered loss makes units unlivable.

Business owners

Commercial property losses and the operational disruption that follows them, handled with the documentation these claims demand.

The Three Patterns

Denied. Delayed. Underpaid.

Most property claim disputes fall into one of three patterns. Each has its own playbook, and each can be challenged.

Denied

A denial letter is a position, not a verdict. Coverage often turns on policy language and cause-of-loss questions that deserve a second read from your side of the table.

Delayed

California claim regulations set timeframes for acknowledging, investigating, and deciding claims. Long silences and repeating document requests are patterns we recognize and push back on.

Underpaid

The first estimate is frequently a starting point, not a ceiling. Scope gaps, depreciation math, and cleaning-versus-replacement calls are where payments get rebuilt line by line.

Frequently Asked Questions

Before you call.

Do you ever represent insurance companies?+

No. CaliClaims Law represents policyholders only. Our attorneys' prior experience on the insurer side informs how we prepare claims, but the firm's clients are property owners, exclusively.

Do you handle commercial properties or only homes?+

Both. The firm represents homeowners, landlords, and business owners in first-party property claims and related third-party disputes.

What does the claim review cost?+

Nothing. The review is free, and if we take your case, we work on contingency: no upfront fees, and we are only paid if there is a recovery.

I already accepted a payment. Is it too late?+

Not necessarily. Accepting a payment does not always close the claim, and supplemental amounts may be available where damage was missed or undervalued. It is worth a review of the policy, the estimate, and anything you signed.
